Synopsis

The chapter begins with the discovery of a rare blue bird captured by poachers. The protagonists help its owner, Varen, a researcher of fantastical beasts, retrieve it. They learn the bird has unique communication abilities and a homing instinct. Later, they meet a merchant, Duon Karabelle, who appraises their items, including a precious jewel and a strange egg left behind by the bird. Ronan's curiosity about the egg and its properties leads him to test it.
