Synopsis

The chapter begins with the new Pavilion Master, Gok Myung, addressing a group of investigators concerned about reopening a previously closed case involving the Yang Ho incident. He reveals that the investigator in charge, Jong Hwa, was threatened to cover up the case to protect his sister, not due to corruption. Gok Myung, having already secretly investigated Jong Hwa and confirming his incorruptibility, then announces that he will ensure the safety of all investigators' families, promising to personally crush anyone who tries to influence them externally. He forgives Jong Hwa's mistake, but emphasizes the loss of his incorruptible record, pushing him to rebuild it.
