Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist's current caretakers explaining their true mission; they are a secret organization that takes commissions for unusual tasks. They reveal they were hired by the protagonist's father to save them from a destructive energy inside them called "Ctengui," which gives superhuman abilities but also leads to madness and death. The person who is revealing this to the protagonist recounts their past with their father, who was a long-time rival, and how they are going to attempt to control it.
