The chapter opens with a character who inexplicably survived being consumed by a Tengu's powers, and whose speech pattern has changed. This character's actions have gotten his guardian, Uncle Tian, in trouble with a powerful figure who appears after hearing that someone wanted to die. The guardian tries to take the blame, but the powerful figure decides to take the main character under his own custody. The chapter ends with hints of injury from the powerful figure and a new character who is excited to meet the main character.
A character, having seemingly survived an encounter with a Tengu, gets another character in trouble. This leads to a confrontation where a powerful figure takes custody of the first character.
